Heiko Maas is a German politician. As German Justice minister he has been an active promoter of the "war on terror".
Refugees
In 2016, Maas suggested that refugee populations could grow into a "terrorist" threat.[1]
Electronic tagging
In 2017, Maas suggested Electronic tagging should be carried out under the "war on terror" pretext on those whom the German government deemed to be a "general threat".[2]
"Hate Speech"
In March 2017, Maas proposed fining internet companies up to 50 million euros if they did not cooperate with government policies such as censoring “obviously criminal content” within 24 hours.[3]
