Bill Bundy was notable as a foreign affairs advisor to both John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. He had key roles in planning the Vietnam War, serving as deputy to Paul Nitze.

Career

He finished law school in 1947 and probably joined the CIA in the 1950s.

Deep Political connections

A member of the Bilderberg/Steering committee and Honorary American Secretary General of the Bilderberg Meetings from 1975 to 1980.[1] He was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and edited their journal, Foreign Affairs, from 1972 to 1984. He declined an offer by the Council's chairman, David Rockefeller, to be the Council's president.

Family

Bill Bundy married the daughter of Dean Acheson. His younger brother was US National Security Advisor, McGeorge Bundy.
