Career

Gilvary joined BP as a mathematical modeller a year after completing his PhD in 1986. On 1 January 2012 he made BP's CFO.[1]

"In 2015, he led the negotiations with the US Government and the 5 US Gulf states to resolve all of the outstanding legal issues associated with the 2010 Deepwater Horizon incident in the Gulf of Mexico."[2]
