Piero Ostellino was an Italian journalist. As former Moscow correspondent for the Corriere della Sera[1], he attended the 1982 Bilderberg meeting.

Education and early career

He graduated in political science at the University of Turin, he specialized in political systems of communist countries. He founded in 1963 in Turin the Research and Documentation Center Luigi Einaudi and, in 1964, the magazine Library of Freedom which he directed until 1970; of the Einaudi Center he then became honorary president. [2]

From 1967 to January 2015 he wrote in Corriere della Sera, a newspaper in which he held various positions: he was a Moscow correspondent from 1973 to 1978, and Beijing from 1979 to 1980; special envoy, as well as managing director from 1984 to 1987. Ostellino was called to the management of the Corriere in place of Alberto Cavallari who had raised the newspaper after the scandal of P2. He remained at the helm of the newspaper for three years, before handing over the helm to fellow Bilderberger Ugo Stille in 1987. He was finally columnist and writer of the weekly column Il dubbo[2].

From February 2015 until his death, he wrote for Il Giornale[3]

From 1990 to 1995 he directed the Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) in Milan, a think-tank with a heavy Bilderberg habit, and was a member of the scientific committee of the University of North Carolina. He was also the author of numerous historical and political essays.[2]
