General Michael V. Hayden was Director of the National Security Agency from 1999 to 2005, and of the Central Intelligence Agency from 2006 to 2009.[1]

Background

Hayden was awarded a bachelor's degree in history in 1967 and a master's degree in modern American history in 1969, both from Duquesne University.[2]

Career

Hayden joined the United States Air Force.

Torture

He has sought to justify torture, offering a range of purported justifications.[3]
