Ranjeet Brar is a British consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon who co-founded the Workers Party of Britain and is the Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Great Britain.
Brar is an activist campaigning against Israeli genocide in Gaza and supporting Palestine.
He has published a number of books including "Britain's perfidious Labour Party" and “Zionism: a racist, anti-Semitic and reactionary tool of imperialism”.

Arrest
On 26 November 2023, Ranjeet Brar and 3 comrades from the CPGB were arrested in London during a demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian people, following Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip which was launched on October 7 after Hamas’ Operation Al Aqsa Flood.[1]

- "It can’t be racism to repeat historical facts.
- “They have deliberately targeted anyone who is trying to equate the crimes of Zionist Israel with Nazi Germany.
- “The West behaves as if history started on October 7, and before the Hamas ‘unjustified’ attack on Israel everything was peaceful and everything comes down to Hamas fighters, but when you put it in context, it is very clear to see that Israel, the US and UK are the aggressors.
- He called Zionism “a racist entity implanted by the British as a settler colonial force.”
- Brar also lashed out at the Western leaders for justifying Israel’s crimes against the Palestinians in order to use Israel as a tool to dominate the oil-rich region.
- He said Israel is a “puppet” to the United States and the UK and pointed to the other interventions and actions of the two countries such as “hostility towards Iran, occupation of Iraq, occupation of Afghanistan, war in Yemen, occupation of Syria, war to displace the government of Libya's Muammar Gaddafi, and other relentless wars” as plans to interfere and to steal their resources.[2]

On 10 March 2024, Brar was interviewed by Crispin Flintoff on the Not The Andrew Marr Show.[4]
He has appeared on MOATS with George Galloway on numerous occasions.
Russia/Ukraine
On 13 September 2025, Ranjeet Brar spoke to Proletarian TV about the West's goal to destabilise Russia.[5]
US/Venezuela
Interviewed in January 2026 by Deep Dive Perspective, Ranjeet Brar gave his analysis of the US kidnap of Venezuela's president, Nicolas Maduro, calling it a desperate move by US imperialism to reclaim Venezuela's vast oil wealth. He connected the dots from the Monroe Doctrine to the CIA's long history of destabilisation in South America, revealing a century-long war against any nation that dares to resist US domination.[6]
IHRA/Antisemitism
Following the statement in Parliament by Health Secretary Wes Streeting that the NHS will adopt the IHRA definition of antisemitism, Dr Brar and Dr Rahmeh Aladwan were interviewed on The Crispin Flintoff Show and described how it is being used to police speech, protect Israel from criticism and intimidate NHS staff who speak out on Palestine.[7]
They showed how complaints, suspensions and regulatory investigations can unfold and why the threshold in professional regulation is so low. And what this means for patients.
They discussed a proposed Judicial Review to challenge Streeting's adoption of the IHRA policy, and how the legal campaign can be supported.[8]
