Not to be confused with the Knights of Malta, a long established Roman Catholic secret society.
Malta is a small nation state consisting of an archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea.
In 2017, Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia was killed by a car bomb after blogging about government corruption and investigating the Panama Papers.
