John Bolton is a neoconservative whose main assistant Cercle attendee, Laura Jordan Dietrich, was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs when Bolton as US Secretary of State was running USAID.
Bolton was US Ambassador to the UN. He won the Zionist Organization of America's 2006 Defender of Israel Award – given to him for the role he played in undermining the "Zionism is Racism" declaration at the United Nations Anti-Racism conference in Durban, South Africa.
National Security Advisor
On 22 March 2018, President Trump announced the appointment of John Bolton to be US National Security Advisor to succeed H. R. McMaster on 9 April 2018. Bolton tweeted his official statement on accepting @POTUS' request to become the next National Security Advisor.[1]
