Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by the “SARS-CoV-2” virus, identified in late 2019 in China. Sometimes asymptomatic, the virus spreads fairly readily from person to person in uninfected populations. In spite of aggressive containment measures, it spread globally until the WHO formally declared it a pandemic in March 2020.[1]
Contents
Origins
COVID-19's identification in Wuhan, China, lead to the (generally implicit) assumption that it originated in that country. Although sometimes fatal, especially for those over 70 years, it was discovered in 2020 that COVID-19 can be asymptomatic.[2]
Initial speculation
Does Occam's Razor indicate a link with the Wuhan Institute of Virology? |
Early January 2020 reports connected the virus to the local sea food market, which also sells meat from wild animals (bushmeat).[3] At first the consumption of meat from snakes,[4] then later from bats was alleged to be the cause of the outbreak. Reporting by commercially-controlled media downplayed other possibilities, such as those involving the nearby Wuhan Institute of Virology, China's only BSL4 facility.[5][6][7][8][9]
Questioning
In January 2020 Zhong Nanshan challenged the assumption that the disease began in China. In February 2020 research indicated that the US was the only location with all 5 different haplotypes, suggesting that it may have been the origin of the virus.[10] Francis Boyle stated in an interview for GreatGameIndia in February 2020 that he believed it was a bioweapon and that the WHO knew it.[11]
Bioweapon?
Various factors have been cited as suggestive that the event may have been a bioweapon.[12][13] Brian T. Kennedy, chair of The Committee on the Present Danger: China, has tweeted and re-tweeted[14][15][16] a large number of Tweets,[17][18] (some from corporate media with connections to the Committee), claiming the virus originates from a Chinese biological weapons program.
Francis Boyle stated in an interview for GreatGameIndia in February 2020 that he believed it was a bioweapon and that the WHO knew it.[19]
Pathology
The virus is more fatal to men than women and presents relatively little danger to youngsters unless they have pre-existing lung problems. It may have have most impact on Asian men.[20] US financed Radio Free Asia reported on February 14th, that crematoria in the Wuhan area are working 24/7 and some since mid January, due to deaths from the virus. The article suggests the number of cremations in Wuhan is beyond 10,000.[21] The official reports out of China are way below that, but in comparison China remains by far the most affected country.[22]
Incubation period
The incubation period is 1-14 days, with a median of 5-6 days.[23] Some disease carriers remain asymptomatic.[24][25][26][27] The infectious period was suspected to be about 14 days, but March 2020 research suggested it might be over one month.[28]

On 11 March 2020, after efforts to confine the disease were failing to stem its global spread, the COVID-19 outbreak was characterised as a pandemic by the World Health Organization. This is the first pandemic known to be caused by the emergence of a new coronavirus. In the past century, there have been four pandemics caused by the emergence of novel influenza viruses. As a result, most research and guidance around pandemics is specific to flu, but the same premises can be applied to the current COVID-19 pandemic.[29]

Saleyha Ahsan | “In that first week there was a window and the UK Government went in a totally different direction to the rest of the world. It was about buying time for the NHS and a vaccine and they didn’t take it. Other countries were warning us and we didn’t listen. And we will pay the penalty with lives. I don’t want the public to be scared but a dose of reality is their best protection.” | Saleyha Ahsan
Jacques Attali | “A major pandemic would raise awareness of the need for altruism, at least self-interested. History teaches us that humanity only evolves significantly when it is truly afraid: then it first sets up defense mechanisms; sometimes intolerable (scapegoats and totalitarianisms); sometimes futile (distraction); sometimes effective (therapeutic, if necessary setting aside all previous moral principles). Then, once the crisis has passed, it transforms these mechanisms to make them compatible with individual freedom and to include them in a democratic health policy. The beginning of the pandemic could trigger one of these structuring fears.” | Jacques Attali | 3 May 2009 |
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation | “The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded two models to “predict” the spread of COVID-19. The Imperial College London and the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation in Seattle predicted that 2.2-million Americans would die unless drastic lockdown measures were followed. Both colleges quickly reduced their predictions, but the world is still in lockdown as a result of it. In 2005, the Imperial College of London predicted that 200-million people worldwide would be killed by bird flu. When the “crisis’ was over, the virus had killed 78 people worldwide. In 2009, the College predicted that the swine flu would kill 65,000 people in the UK, but the final number was 457. From 2006 through 2018, the Gates Foundation donated $185-million to the College to continue their good work.” | William Engdahl Jon Rappoport | 1 May 2020 |

COVID-19/Pathology | “There are now 50-some high-quality zero prevalence studies, says it has a 95% survival rate for people who are 70 and older. For people under 70, it's 99.95% survival. It's much less deadly for people who are under 70, 99.95. And for children, it's frankly, the flu is worse. We've had more flu deaths among children this year than COVID deaths, just in terms of mortality.” | Jay Bhattacharya
COVID-19/Timeline | “Were it not for the test data that you get from the TV all the time, you would rightly conclude that the pandemic was over, as nothing much has happened.” | Michael Yeadon
COVID-19/Timeline | “I want to say it again: we in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as a primary means of control of this virus. [. . .] We may well have a doubling of world poverty by early next year. We may well have at least a doubling of child malnutrition because children are not getting meals at school and their parents and poor families are not able to afford it. This is a terrible, ghastly global catastrophe, actually. And so we really do appeal to all world leaders: stop using lockdown as your primary control method. Develop better systems for doing it. Work together and learn from each other. But remember, lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never, ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer. ” | David Nabarro | 12 October 2020 |

COVID-19/Zero Covid | “Nearly three years into the pandemic, China is sticking with a strict COVID-19 containment policy that has caused mounting economic damage and widespread frustration, while keeping its borders shut for most international travel.
China has yet to describe when or how it will begin to exit from an approach that it calls "dynamic zero". China says it recognises domestic outbreaks are inevitable, and its policies are not geared towards having zero cases at all times but instead, are about "dynamically" taking action when cases surface. Dynamic-zero is two-pronged - prevention and containment. This year has seen the intensification of both aspects as the highly transmissible Omicron variant spread across China. Prevention focuses on early detection through regular PCR tests, especially in cities, where a recent negative result can be a requirement to enter a business or public facility. Potential or suspected cases are isolated at home or placed under quarantine at a government-supervised facility. Those deemed close contacts of infected people must quarantine, and even distant or potential contact can result in an order to stay home. Control tactics, aimed at swiftly cutting off transmission chains to forestall outbreaks, involve quarantining cases at government-supervised facilities and locking down buildings, communities or even entire cities. Since March 2020, China's borders have remained shut to most visitors. Arrivals of all nationalities are subject to seven days of quarantine at a facility and three days of home isolation. Each person's PCR test result is electronically logged on government databases, as well as one's travel history, which is tracked by mobile phone signals. People must keep a "normal" COVID profile with continual negative test results, no contact with infected people and no visits to risky places. Profiles are maintained on mobile phone "health kits". An abnormal profile bars access to public venues and mass transit, and can even require home quarantine for days with electronic seals attached to doors to enforce isolation. Profiles can without warning turn abnormal - indicated by a change in colour or the dreaded appearance of a pop-up window - if one was at a mall visited by an infected person or if one was a contact of a close contact. Sometimes profiles become abnormal even if all the requirements are met. Visits to other cities or provinces may require quarantine on arrival. Lockdowns, which can be at the building level or much wider, can be sudden. A single case can trigger the lockdown of a building or residential compound, which means people cannot leave. Some lockdowns have lasted for months. Entire cities can be locked down with only hours of notice. Big cities that have been shut, sometimes more than once, include Shanghai, Xian, Chengdu, Tianjin, Shenzhen and even entire provinces and regions such as Xinjiang, Tibet and Jilin. China argues that its policy saves lives. The authorities acknowledge Omicron is far less likely to cause serious health issues but say its high transmissibility means large outbreaks would lead to a run on medical resources and expose vulnerable groups, including hundreds of millions of elderly people. China's official death toll had stayed near just 4,600 since 2020 until more than 560 fatalities struck Shanghai in April and May, spurring other cities to further enhance their COVID defences. Chinese health authorities predicted last month that for every 100,000 infections there would be at least 100 deaths. China has yet to approve any foreign vaccines or any domestically made shots based on mRNA technology. Authorities have also not pushed for a quicker pace of vaccination this year, compared with a big vaccination campaign in 2021. As of Tuesday, 3.44 billion doses had been administered, with over 90% of China's population fully vaccinated. But only around 60% of the general population has received booster shots. About 80% of those aged 60 and above have had additional doses.” | Reuters William Ballard | 2022 |

Probably there was a bioweapon in the beginning to seed everything because that would be necessary, but I don't think there is any evidence for a virus that has gone around the world for 3 years. And the PCR tests and the sequences are not evidence of that... we don't have any of that data from pre 2020, so you don't know whether those sequences could have been found in 2019, 18, 17, 16 because no one was looking.” | Jonathan Jay Couey | 8 February 2023 |

Universal Basic Income | “Covid-19 is the catalyst for the Great Reset, in which universal basic income plays a securing role. Universal Basic Income (UBI) is the strategic solution to protect the ruling classes from Molotov cocktails and global civil unrest by those being methodically dispossessed of their occupations, dignity and self-preservation – the working class, much middle class, peasantry, artisans, and those that comprise the informal economy that presides in the Global South. Disclosures on coming “disbanding of existing safety-net programs” are not included in the foundation-funded marketing campaigns.” | Cory Morningstar
Universal Basic Income | “When UBI begins to be rolled out globally, one can expect public healthcare to slowly disappear, replaced by privatized services (largely Telehealth). Further, UBI payments will be linked to benefits via blockchain – ensuring full spectrum compliance and servitude of whole societies. Billionaires are supporting/financing UBI marketing campaigns for good reason: it is preferable to pay a pittance to the citizenry than to risk losing the social license that allows for the continued decimation of the Earth, coupled with the continued exploitation of those most oppressed and vulnerable.” | Cory Morningstar

Document:Assange Bail Application Today | blog post | 25 March 2020 | Craig Murray | If the authorities now refuse to allow him out on bail during the COVID-19 outbreak, I do not see how anybody can possibly argue there is any intention other than to cause his death. |
Document:Backing the Wrong Horseman | blog post | Craig Murray | The neo-con drive to dominate the Middle East, in alliance with Saudi Arabia and Israel, has caused an apocalyptic level of death and destruction, which I put (an extremely conservative figure) at 5 million dead. Now compare that to the worldwide death toll from coronavirus: 220,000. Let me say that again. Western aggressive wars to coronavirus: 5,000,000 versus 220,000.
Document:Beyond Words | blog post | 8 April 2020 | Craig Murray | Nobody cultivates her own anonymity more than Magistrate Vanessa Baraitser who has her existence carefully removed from the Internet almost entirely. Yet she seeks to destroy the peace and young lives of Julian Assange’s family. |
Document:COVID-19 – true or hoax? | blog post | 5 April 2020 | John Goss | Ask yourself this simple question. How many people do you know who have COVID-19? For me the answer is none. My advice would be for everyone to ignore the fake news put out by mainstream media. |

Document:Excess deaths in 2022 among worst in 50 years | Article | 10 January 2022 | Rachel Schraer Robert Cuffe | Why did so many people die in 2022? This remarkable BBC News article doesn't explain why. |
Document:Former MI6 chief behind faked “evidence” for Iraq war leading anti-China Wuhan lab conspiracy | Article | 10 June 2021 | Julie Hyland | President Biden's intelligence service order relating to the Wuhan lab leak theory was issued the same day that Prime Minister Boris Johnson's former chief adviser, Dominic Cummings, gave evidence before a parliamentary committee in which he confirmed a government policy to allow tens of thousands to die from Covid-19. |
Document:It’s Not Socialism. It’s Another Mega Wealth Transfer. | blog post | 23 March 2020 | Craig Murray | Amid the COVID-19 panic, it has hardly been noticed that Carphone Warehouse went bust, with 2,900 people losing their jobs. Its co-founder, David Ross, is of course the billionaire that Boris Johnson claimed paid for his luxury holiday to Mustique, whereas Ross claimed he only organised it. |
Document:Logistical and Technical Exploration into the Origins of the COVID-19 virus | report | 31 January 2020 | Jonathan Jay Couey | Report of a thorough investigation into the origins of the virus that caused the pandemic. Whilst the author is circumspect, the evidence presented points clearly to the virus being the product of laboratory engineering. |
Document:Momento Mori – Unpopular Thoughts on Corona Virus | blog post | 7 March 2020 | Craig Murray | Consider this: 100% of those who contract COVID-19 are going to die. 100% of those who do not contract COVID-19 are also going to die. The difference in average life expectancy between the two groups will prove to be only very marginal. That is because the large majority of those who die of COVID-19 will already be nearing the end of life or have other health problems. |
Document:Never Again | blog post | 22 June 2020 | John Goss | The virus SARS-COV-2 has been used to create public panic and distrust in the world...The most important lesson we can all learn from this is to realise we have been had, and next time to say: “Never Again”. |

Document:Sajid Javid Signs Off £1 Billion Private Health Windfall | Article | 14 January 2022 | David Hencke | Sajid Javid, the Health and Social Care Secretary, has agreed an ‘insurance policy’ with private providers, in breach of Treasury spending guidelines, reports David Hencke |
Document:Senior spy appointed to lead UK’s joint biosecurity centre | Article | 5 June 2020 | Helen Warrell Sarah Neville | Devi Sridhar, chair of global public health at Edinburgh University, says: “The virus is not worried that you’re tracking its progress, it’s not going to change its tactic. Cybersecurity is not your worry with a virus. It’s a biological phenomenon.” |
Document:The Spartacus COVID-19 Letter | Article | 28 September 2021 | Institute for Coronavirus Emergence Nonprofit Intelligence | The Spartacus Letter - Rev. 2 (2021-09-28) Spartacus |
Document:The new alliance between anti-vaxxers and the far right is a deadly threat | Article | 1 August 2021 | Paul Mason | "Though they claim to be “peaceful”......by setting themselves up as the victims of genocide, the anti-vaxxers give themselves permission to threaten violence.....Those behind the “crime” are said to include governments and the World Economic Forum (WEF)" because the real fascists are the ones that oppose oppressive government mandates and forced injections. |
Document:There is no future for Labour in bureaucratic centrism | Article | 11 November 2020 | Ian Lavery | Whilst many in the media and party establishments are keen to turn back the clock to the bureaucratic centrism, progressives energised on both sides of the Atlantic, whether by Corbyn or Sanders, will define our future politics. |
Document:Was there a Wuhan lab leak? | blog post | 1 June 2021 | Jonathan Cook | No meaningful lessons will be learnt about what really happened in Wuhan. Maintaining the illusion of truth will continue to take precedence over uncovering the truth. And for that reason we are doomed to keep making the same screw-ups. As the next pandemic will doubtless attest. |
Document:Why are government experts holding off vaccinating under-16s in the UK? | Article | 6 August 2021 | Deepti Gurdasani | Pro COVID-19/Vaccine propaganda from an epidemiologist with ties to Big Pharma. The JCVI does not recommend jabs for under-16s and the approval process has slowed down. The rushed vaccination process is not rushed enough apparently. |
